Usage instructions:

• After strenuous activity, combine 1 to 2 drops of Black Spruce with Fractionated Coconut Oil and massage into the skin for soothing comfort.

• Apply topically to the skin to help soothe minor skin irritations.

•Try adding to your moisturiser to help reduce the appearance of blemishes and promote healthy-looking skin.

Application instructions:

• Topical use: For massage, mix 5 drops with 10 ml carrier oil. For bath, mix 5 drops with 5 ml carrier oil. For perfuming, mix 1 drop to 10 drops carrier oil.

Contraindications:

Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. Consult your doctor if pregnant or in treatment. Avoid eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.

Why Canada?

Black Spruce thrives in the cold, northern boreal forest. It is a member of the pine family and grows prolifically in the northern United States, Canada, and throughout the Arctic. The bark is dark grey, thin, and scaly; the needles are blue-green and short.

Black Spruce trees grow tall and thin, typically around 15 m tall and 50 cm in diameter, though some are as tall as 30 m with trunks 60 cm in diameter. The optimal growing conditions of the boreal forest allow Black Spruce to grow and thrive from one generation to the next.

How Does It Work?

Black Spruce is mainly harvested for the timber, pulp, and paper industries. Once the Black Spruce timber has been harvested and hauled away, our key partner goes in to gather all of the branches and needles that were left behind using a grapple arm excavator. These leftover materials are then steam distilled for a powerful and beautiful essential oil.
